Blood Waterby ~Gourmandhast

This is a package designed to prevent people from drinking bottled water. It's my box done for one my classes, I decided to choose red to make the relation to blood. Out of all the class packages its the only red one I have seen.

It is composed of a Booklet and a bottle label(which I chose not to add to this image). Within the booklet there are facts about the waste of energy, resources and materials involved in the production of bottled water.

We saw a documentary called Blue Gold which explained that in poor countries the people who need clean water don't get it. They have to get water from polluted lakes and streams. These contain bacteria that cause grave illness to those who consume it. The manufacturers of bottled water even admit that our tap water is no different than bottled water.

Interesting part of this was how Coca-Cola "owns" the water of a certain area and the villagers don't have access to it. Instead of drinking water, they buy Coca-Cola bottles to hydrate themselves. Sad truth, lesson of the story was don't buy bottled water and don't drink coca-cola.

I only drink it because I'm paranoid. Plus, the tap water where I live has a lot of chlorine in it and I can taste it.As long as it's purified, I don't care where it comes from. Which is why I have one of those Pur water filtering jugs. Actually, now that I think about it, I DON'T drink water bottles anymore. But anyways, that's why people drink bottled water: because it's purified and they're either paranoid or live where the tap water's not good for drinking, like California.
